Questions about this trip

How much is a Christmas break in Budapest?

This trip costs from €517 per person in a double room with a 4* hotel, or €844 with a 5* hotel. It includes the direct flights, 4 nights with breakfast, entry to the Széchenyi Baths and the Danube cruise. Prices worked out on 31 October 2026 and confirmed in your quote.

When are the Budapest Christmas markets on?

The two main ones, on Vörösmarty Square and in front of St Stephen’s Basilica, open in mid-November and stay until the end of the year.

Are the baths worth it in winter?

Yes, that is when you enjoy them most. The outdoor pools at Széchenyi are hot all year round, and the contrast with the cold air is half the fun.

Do I need euros?

Hungary’s currency is the forint, and cards are accepted almost everywhere. The Christmas markets take cards too, but bring some cash for the small stalls.

Can I fly from Porto or another city, or travel on other dates?

Yes. The prices on this page are for these dates and for departure from Lisbon. To change the days, fly from Porto or another airport, or bring children, ask us on WhatsApp and we will quote the trip.
