Questions about this trip
How much does a Christmas trip to Lapland cost from Lisbon?
This trip costs from €1,711 per person in a double room with a 4* hotel, or €2,353 with a 5* hotel. It includes the flights, 4 nights with breakfast, transfers and the husky and reindeer safari. Prices worked out on 31 October 2026 and confirmed in your quote.
How cold is Rovaniemi in December?
Average temperatures sit between -6 °C and -12 °C, and some days are much colder. The safari includes thermal clothing; for the rest of the trip bring a warm coat, a hat, gloves and boots.
How much daylight is there in December?
Less than three hours a day by mid-month. The rest is a long blue twilight, with the snow lighting everything up, and that is what gives Lapland its picture-postcard look.
Can you see the Northern Lights in Rovaniemi?
You can, but it depends on clear skies and solar activity, so nobody can guarantee it. If the lights are the point of the trip, look at our Tromsø trip.
Do I need a passport for Finland?
Finland is in the EU and the Schengen area. EU citizens can travel with a valid national ID card. Everyone else needs a valid passport, and if you live in Portugal on a residence permit, take it with you too.
Can I fly from Porto or another city, or travel on other dates?
Yes. The prices on this page are for these dates and for departure from Lisbon. To change the days, fly from Porto or another airport, or bring children, ask us on WhatsApp and we will quote the trip.
